FAQs
Is GALI Aboriginal owned?
Yes. GALI was founded by David Leslie, a proud Kamilaroi man and volunteer surf lifesaver from Bondi Beach. The brand is 100% Aboriginal owned and built to share First Nations culture with the world.
Do artists get paid?
Yes. Artists receive a royalty of 10% on every product we make. Royalties are paid upfront every quarter, on the full retail price - even when our products are on sale. Their work is always valued fairly and transparently.
Does GALI support communities?
Yes. We give back 25% of our profits to First Nations artists and communities.
Since launching, we have raised over $90,000 in income and donations for artists and communities.
We've supported a range of First Nations community projects, including education and literacy programs, youth activities, LGBTQIA+ initiatives, and projects that connect Aboriginal youth with Country.
Is GALI sustainable?
We care for Country in everything we do. Our swimwear, beach towels, and underwear are crafted from recycled fabrics. Packaging is compostable and plastic-free. Every choice we make is guided by sustainability.
