Artwork Story

This Dreaming is associated with a place called Jaralypari, north of Yuendumu.

‘Lukarrara’ [desert fringe-rush] is a grass with an edible seed. The seeds are traditionally ground on a ‘ngatinyanu’ [large stone] with a ‘ngalikirri’ [smaller stone] to make flour. This flour is mixed with ‘ngapa’ [water] to make damper cakes, which are cooked and eaten.

In Traditional Warlpiri paintings, iconography is used to represent the Jukurrpa [Dreaming]. In Pauline’s painting, ‘U’ shapes can depict the Karnta [women] collecting ‘lukarrara’. Straight lines are used to portray seeds that fall to the ground, which are collected by women using their ‘parrajas’ [wooden food carriers] and ‘karlangu’ [digging sticks].

Our Beliefs

Artist First. Always.

We value our artists in everything we do. We work closely together to bring their artworks to life.

We pay artist royalties on the full retail price - even during sales - because we'd never devalue their work. And they guide where our community contributions go.

Our Beliefs

Storytelling Matters

We value storytelling as an Indigenous tradition and artform. As custodians, we protect these stories through our work with artists and the way their art is translated.

Every piece honours its story, and when you wear it, you help carry it forward - because storytelling lives on.

Our Beliefs

Culture Is Everything

Culture shapes how we see, speak, move, and create. Every design continues a deeper story. Through fashion, we honour culture and celebrate the people and stories behind it.

Our Beliefs

Business is a force for change

We believe business should create opportunities and drive change. Giving back is central to who we are. 25% of profits go to Indigenous artists and communities.

Our Beliefs

Art Should Feel Good

The fabric, design, ethos and the impact should all align. We want people to look good, feel good and do good. Creativity is about expression, connection, inclusivity and a sense of belonging.
